Panel recommendations

March 23, 2009

Tomorrow’s meeting will offer a chance to discuss the recommendations that emerged from the first meeting about the direction research should take for the Next-generation Internet.

You’ll those recommendations throughout the summaries of panel activities in the first blog.

There’s also a  cheatsheet (partial) to help in getting at the nuggets in the mountain of material.

We had a preparatory meeting for cluster participants today, in which we tried to distill the recommendations down to a central set of concerns. The themes that seemed to emerge were trust and identity. How do you enable trusted identity on the Internet while also safely preserving anonymity.

Help shape the Next-generation Internet!

Wealth of Networks is a one-day forum bringing researchers and industry together in conversation with the public to chart the direction of research for the Next-generation Internet in the UK. We will be discussing the recommendations from the first Wealth of Networks event in July. Check out the blog to see what we came up with there.

Wealth of Networks will take place on 24 March  at the Congress Centre.

Attendance is free, but pre-registration is required, and places are limited to 200. So don’t wait to register! You can book a place at the registration site.

For those of you who can’t make it, we’ll be setting up a backchannel network shortly. Watch this space!
